Well its not just me who craves weird things from home. I have a friend here in Hua Hin, lets call him Mitch as that’s what we call him. One night in our old local pub, I stupidly asked him if he wanted me to bring him back anything from the UK. I have been asking a few friends but nobody had taken me up on the offer, so I was thinking I had a bit of room in my case for a couple of odds and ends for people over here in Thailand on my return.

Mitch sounded quite pleased when I asked him what he wanted and said that he would text it to me so that I would not forget – I remember it well actually, so the text did work – although the reason why I remembered was because of what he was asking for – 17 cans of Princes Peppered Wood Smoked Mackerel Fillets in Sunflower Oil – 17!!!! I thought, damn! That’s a lot of Mackerel. I told him that he must really like it – and chuckled to myself.

Well the mackerel fillets were on my mind when I got back to the UK, and I did go looking for them each time I ended up in the supermarket on my 6 weeks back in the UK – I even took a picture at one supermarket as I didn’t think Mitch was going to believe me when I told him that the stock levels of Princes Peppered Wood Smoked Mackerel Fillets in Sunflower Oil are very low – they must taste pretty good I was thinking.

This was the only pack left honestly.

One more thing, these Princes Peppered Wood Smoked Mackerel Fillets in Sunflower Oil are heavy! 190 grams each! that’s over 3kg for all the ones he wanted! ha!

Anyway, he got 3 cans and I didnt charge him – hope you enjoyed them mate.
