I am having a crack at learning thai now.  I went to a group lesson today at RUA School

Its near the BTS and has been going for like 50+ years, although not sure how long in Bangkok. Its different to all the other thai schools I have been to, this one you just listen rather than talk – they might ask you the odd question, but mainly, its just sit there and listen – not sure if its going to work for me as I only have 30 hours so not sure how much is going to sink in.

They are meant to be one of the cheapest around if you can commit a bit of time and make a bulk purchase on lessons, 100+ lessons is the way to get cheap lessons – I actually got an amazing deal from a company called TikTok Thai – its like a Groupon type website but aimed at ExPats – I guess I am kinda like an ExPat.

I ended up paying 30b an hour for my group lessons which is pretty unbeatable for a real language school.
