Well took the Honda Jazz out on the streets for a spin today. I was feeling a little bit nervous about it to be honest – I mean I have just paid £8,0000 for this car and as I suspected the exchange rates have gone against me immediately! Yeah, the pound is now about 1 bhat stronger – so lets see… I paid at 47 to the pound and now will be about 48 – so thats £8260 and I paid £8436 – arrghhh!! oh well, at least I have a nice car. Well back to the point, took the car out. I got a sat nav as well for 2,600b which works just fine – I keyed in my language school address and off I went – took just 40 minutes without using the toll roads – actually about the same amount of time as taking Sky Train + Motor Bike taxi but cheaper and less hassle – so its a big thumbs up for car ownership in Bangkok. Not that I plan on spending much more time here in Bangers – too bloody expensive.

It is nice to be sat in the air con car whilst its blazing hot outside – I feel like I am becoming a bit of a snob now that I have a car.
