I am here once again in Thailand. This is the start of my second year and what better place to start it than the capital city Bangkok? Been here just over a month now and in a part called On Nut. On Nut is still on the BTS (skytrain) although only just. Its right at the end of the Sukumvit line so at least you sometimes have a chance of getting a seat when you get on – 2.5/5 times you can get a seat depending on the time of day you get on.
So yeah, On Nut – I did not really wanna stay here, but I was running out of options as I only wanted to stay for short time here in bangkok – cannot afford long time in this place – thats for sure!
Bangkok is not so much of a bargain that I though it was going to be. If you decide to stay here long term, then the accommodation will be cheaper, but for me paying month by month, its 15,000 for a one bed with free bills – you could get this place much much cheaper if you took out a year contract. I would be pretty unhappy in BKK for a whole year I think as most people here are working most days so not so many people to hang out with.
Those people who do wanna hang out during the day are most probably short time visitors who want to look at temples so since I have done that
many years ago and the fact that I am not Buddhist makes me not want to hang out with these people.
So I feel a bit isolated out here and can imagine that I will be heading back to one of the islands in a months time when my rent is due again.
