I am not what you would call young anymore! I am now officially middle aged, that is to say, I am 38 now. I think this age is the first time I can officially have a mid-life-crisis!
Living in Thailand, a lot of people do date younger women, its just a fact of life. A lot of guys will get married to a girl who is 15 years or younger than himself. It does not matter if you are 60+, but if you are my age, then it is not so cut and dried.
The age of girls I date from the Thai dating sites varies a lot. The youngest girl I date is 21, and she has only just turned 21 as well. In the UK, I would get funny looks from people for dating a young girl like this, she is in fact just about young enough to be my daughter, but I would have had to have got started pretty quickly with making babies when I was a young man.
There are a lot of pros about dating a younger girl. It can make you feel younger that for sure. They want to party a lot more, go out on fun nights out and also go to places where you would not normally go. So it does make you feel younger which is fine by me.
Younger girls are also less likely to have children. When I date a girl 30+, I’d say its more often than not that they already have children but I hardly never get to meet them – in fact, I don’t think I have ever met a child of a women I have dated in Thailand.
One thing to watch out for is dating somebody under the age of 20. I would not advise it. You can be forced into marriage by the family if you have sex with a girl who is under the age of 20 but over the age of 18.
I would wait until the girl is at least 20 before you take the relationship further.
But if you feel like you can fall in love with a girl half you age, then Thailand is a good option. The girls here that message me on dating sites are from the age of 18 and up – I am sure if I really wanted to, I could have an 18 year old girlfriend here, but 21 is young enough for me.
